Du medbringer ting (som kan få værdi for andre)\, og vi viser dig\, hvor du kan fordele tøj\, bøger\, sko\, elektronik osv. Vi har desværre ikke plads til større ting\, f.eks. møbler. Dernæst kan du selv gå på opdagelse og tage ting med hjem\, som andre ikke længere har brug for. Man afleverer altså det\, man kan undvære (hvilket ofte er ret meget)\, og tager det\, man kan bruge. Nogle gange giver man mere\, end man tager\, andre gange omvendt. Og når alt er gratis\, får flere ting hurtigere nye ejere. \nVed at tage på byttemarked\, kan du se andre få glæde af det\, der ellers bare har stået hos dig og samlet støv\, og du har selv mulighed for at gå hjem med brugbare ting. Det er ligesom at være ude at shoppe og komme hjem med lækre nye sko\, bøger\, tøj eller endda en brødrister – bare ganske gratis. \nSå ryd op i gemmerne og tag det\, du ikke længere bruger\, med på byttemarked.
